    Cup Week Style Takes Centre Stage

    When Metropol Magazine chose The Crossing for their Cup Week fashion shoot, the brief was simple: flirty yet refined with a contemporary edge. The resulting images showcase how our retailers help bring that vision to life.

    Rodd & Gunn provided Juan’s tailoring—knits, jackets and boots that transition easily from trackside to Bar Franco. RUBY‘s Hazel ruffle dress gave Amber movement and lightness, while Tholsie & Co’s succulent headdress added the botanical twist. Holly wore Witchery with orchid earrings, and Emma chose Juliette Hogan‘s Marais dress paired with Country Road jewellery.

    The shoot moved through different locations across the precinct. At Lovoir Beauty, Amber wore RUBY‘s Gloria scarf dress while Juan opted for I Love Ugly‘s relaxed polo. ProfessioNAIL hosted Holly and Emma for manicures—those finishing touches that round out race day preparation.

    Then came the shift to Lo-Fi for smash burgers. Still in Andrea Biani heels and natural florals, the group proved you can dress up without losing your sense of fun. It’s that balance many people appreciate about Cup Week—the ability to enjoy yourself without taking it all too seriously.

    The fashion spread across multiple retailers. Barkers provided Juan’s suiting. Belleza Boutique‘s Dixie dress featured alongside Workshop‘s Ganni pieces and kitten heel sandals. Fashion Society contributed bags and accessories, Sunglasses Hut added Ray-Bans, and Andrea Biani heel collection – Kendall, Kith, Jules, Stevie – appeared throughout. Witchery featured in several looks with their bangles, cuffs and dresses.

    One shot caught Juan in the Juliette Hogan fitting room, occupying that familiar boyfriend seat. It’s a detail many will recognise from their own shopping trips—the patient companion, the thoughtful selection process.

    The shoot captured various aspects of Cup Week preparation: the styling appointments, the beauty treatments, the outfit selections, and yes, the meal breaks. It’s the kind of experience that happens across our precinct during race week, as people gather what they need for their trackside plans.
