Park at The Crossing — One of the Closest Carparks to the Venue

The Crossing Carpark at 71 Lichfield Street, Christchurch Central City (Google Maps), is one of the most conveniently located options for getting to One NZ Stadium on foot.

Entry is between 4.30am and midnight, seven days a week, and you can exit at any time.

Find out more about rates and how to get here.

Finding Your Way to Your Car

Please note there is no pedestrian access to the car park directly from the street. To reach your vehicle, simply enter The Crossing through any of our three ground-floor entrances. From there, make your way up to Level 1 through the customer service area, where the car park is located.

Ground-floor entrances

  • Colombo Street — via Kettlewell Lane
  • Cashel Street — direct entry
  • Lichfield Street — via Market Lane

Paying for parking

For One NZ Stadium event nights, we offer a special $15 flat rate when you enter after 4:30 pm and leave by 6:00 am the next morning. Outside of these times, casual rates apply, with our daily maximum charge capped at $24 (with each day starting at 4.30am).

You can pay at the machines in the Level 1 or Level 2 lobbies, or for a faster exit, simply scan one of our QR codes located around the car park. You can also click here to pay online.

Lost your ticket? No problem—just enter your license plate number at the pay machine or via the payment link instead. Once your payment is processed (please note a 20c transaction fee applies to all card payments), the exit barrier will lift automatically as you approach.

Leaving after midnight?

Use the pin number on your parking ticket at one of two after-hours access points:

  • Lichfield Street — pin pad at the entry ramp
  • Addison Lane — after-hours door on the service lane off Lichfield Street, adjacent to FreshChoice City Market

Important: Road Closures Will Affect Your Entry and Exit

Post-event road closures will impact both entering and leaving our carpark. Here’s what to expect:

  • Exiting the carpark: You will not be able to exit towards Manchester Street. Turn right to exit towards Colombo Street instead.
  • Entering the car park: During closure periods, which usually apply 1 hour before the end of the event, Lichfield Street will be closed to traffic entering from both Manchester and Colombo Streets. You will not be able to access the car park by vehicle during this time.

When do closures apply?

  • Friday 24 April — 8.30pm to 11.59pm
  • Saturday 25 April — 8.30pm to 11.59pm
  • Sunday 26 April — 5.30pm to 9.30pm

These closures are in effect from one hour before the end of each event through to one hour post-event, and may affect both event-goers and regular carpark users.

Wider city road closures are also in place from 4.30pm on Friday, 2.00pm on Saturday, and 11.00am on Sunday. Allow extra travel time and plan your route carefully before you leave home.

Our Advice? Come in Early and Make a Day of It

With road closures, increased foot traffic, and limited parking across the city, arriving early is the smartest move you can make. Beat the rush, secure your parking spot, and take the stress out of your journey.

And once you’re here? The Crossing has you sorted. Browse our range of shops, grab a bite, or relax with a drink at one of our food and beverage spots — all right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the stadium.
