Flare Art Co-op

Flare Art Co-op brings the spirit of Christchurch’s street art scene into a permanent home in Kettlewell Lane. Created and run by the artists themselves, it offers a place where original works, limited edition prints and artist designed pieces are always changing and always connected to the city’s creative energy.

The co-op grew from a shared desire to support local mural artists beyond the summer festival season. It gives them a year round platform to show and sell their work, collaborate with one another and shape a space that reflects their own ideas. Walk in on any given week and you will find something new, whether it is a fresh installation, a new collection of prints or an event that brings people into the creative process.

Everything sold at Flare directly supports the artists and helps fund murals, activations and community art projects throughout Ōtautahi. It is not a commercial gallery or a store filled with mass produced pieces. It is a place where creativity leads the way.
