Kettlewell Lane was alive with excitement as we launched the WORD Christchurch Festival installation, featuring a vibrant Market Day and literary showcase. Visitors immersed themselves in the colorful installation while exploring the boutique stalls that line the lane, and indulged in the delicious crepes from Crêpes De La Monde, perfectly nestled among the lively atmosphere.

The event showcased an inspiring collection of poems and short stories, proudly on display as part of the Ōtautahi is Flash! installation. It was heartwarming to see so many people pause and immerse themselves in the heartfelt verses and captivating tales that embody Christchurch’s creative spirit. If you missed the event, don’t worry—the installation will be up until the end of October 2024, so there’s plenty of time to experience this wonderful celebration of words and culture.
